wordpress or blogspot

Actually, I wanted to play with this new feature which allows me to embed Flickr slideshow on the blog. But it seems like I’m unable to do so until WordPress figure something to get around the security issue.

Anywoot, I ended up changing template. Again. Like so many times before. But it’s damn easy and tempting to do so, simply because too many WordPress users are forever submitting new templates for us to use and change the whole layout. How cool is that? And this one is so cool I think it suits me and I’m going to stick with it. At least until a better one comes out.

There are numerous benefits over blogger. The one that stands out the most is allowing you to categorize your entries. And the team at wordpress is forever figuring out ways to serve our requests. When we don’t have embedded youtube, they give us embedded youtube. When we want more templates, they give us more templates. When we want to customise css like the bloggers at blogspot, they give us the option to overwrite css. Now, they even allow us to map domain names to our wordpress accounts. Which means I can change the current 6aside.wordpress.com to 6aside.com or 6aside.net. Like wow.

But thinking about it, not many of us would be bother with these minute details. These are things that are good to have, but not necessary. Like a hp. As long as it is not too big and I can call and sms with minimum fuss, I am alright with any kinda brand. Which explains why I’m still using Jx’s old phone instead of buying a new one to replace my flushed one. I don’t need to have mp3 because I have my ipod. I don’t need a in-built camera because I would rather bring my own camera around. So going back to the topic, as long as I am able to blog peacefully, organize the entries orderly and insert pictures with minimum fuss, I am most alright to anything.

Speaking of blogging peacefully, it has come to a point where I realize there are restrictions to blogging. I had a few internal run-ins regarding the ending of this blog. For a start, I blog a lot when I’m busy. And when I’m busy, I shouldn’t be blogging! More importantly, I can’t ignore the fact that many unsolicited people read the blog. People whom I really wish they can come out clean and say they do read 6aside, but well, I can’t really stop them unless I stop posting. LOL. Maybe blogs should have a function like in MSN where you can block certain people from reading. There is this password feature but I rather not go into that. I rather delete the blog and go somewhere else to park. SOOOOO…this site might just collapse all of a sudden one day as I continue to do what I’ve been doing these days – ebay for my perfect film machine, immerse in last minute studies, think about future job, and think about the gal.

Last words to the football team – I might be mid-table, but don’t be surprise if I win a champions league spot next season! LOL.
